  • Breastfeeding is a natural occurrence. In West Java, babies who received exclusive breastfeeding reached 38.23%, while in Cianjur Regency reached 8.847 babies. The problem that is often felt in postpartum mothers is breast milk dam, milk does not come out smoothly. To overcome the milk out is not smooth with the action of the marmet technique. The Marmet technique is a manual expressing breast milk technique to increase milk production in postpartum mothers who do not receive other therapy during the application. The purpose of this study was to understand and apply the ineffective breastfeeding marmet technique to postpartum mothers. Data collection methods were obtained from interviews, participatory observations, literature studies, and documentation. The results showed that her milk production became smooth and breastfeeding became more effective after the Marmet Technique was carried out for 5 minutes, consecutively for 3 days. Based on the results of this study, it is hoped that the marmet technique therapy can be applied to facilitate breastfeeding in postpartum mothers.
