- Carcinoma mammae is a disorder in the growth of abnormal mammary cells in which abnormal cells arise from normal cells, multiply and infiltrate blood vessels and lymph tissue. The purpose of this case study is to apply aseptic wound care to the high risk of infection in breast cancer patients. The method in this scientific paper is a case study with the provision of wound care. Data collection techniques were carried out by interviewing, observing, and studying literature/documentation. The results of the intervention showed a reduced risk of infection after being given wound care. It can be concluded that the provision of wound care has an effect on reducing the risk of infection experienced by breast cancer patients. Wound care is effective to prevent the risk of infection.
