  • Osteoarthritis (OA) is a chronic (long-term) joint disorder where there is a weakening and degenerative process in the joints that can affect one or more joints. Osteoarthritis experienced by the elderly can affect the ability to perform daily physical activities. One of the non-pharmacological measures that can be used to reduce the pain scale is stretching exercise. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of nursing care in the application of stretching exercises to reduce pain in the elderly with osteoarthritis. This research method uses case studies, interviews, and observations using 1 participant, namely Mrs. T patient with osteoarthritis. Researchers performed the Stretching Exercise technique for 3 visits or 3 days. Before the stretching exercise technique was carried out, namely pain on a scale of 5 and the results after the Stretching Exercise technique was pain on a scale of 2. The results showed that there was a change in the pain scale from 5 to 2. Looking at the results of this study, it is hoped that stretching exercise therapy can be applied in reducing pain. osteoarthritis pain in the elderly.
