- Elderly is someone who is more than 60 years old and has experienced changes in himself, such as physical changes, cognitive changes and other changes that affect him. Sociological changes are also often experienced by the elderly, such as a decrease in the need for rest and sleep. Insomnia is a disease that is often experienced by the elderly. Complaints of insomnia in general are difficult to start sleeping and often awake at night so that the quality of sleep is inadequate. One of the actions that play a role in reducing insomnia in the elderly is soaking the feet in warm water. The purpose of this study was to understand and apply warm water foot soaks to reduce insomnia. This research design uses a case study method using interviews, observations, and questionnaires. The participation taken is the elderly who have insomnia disorders with a score of 24 (mild insomnia) who are in Muka Village. Actions are given for 15 minutes 3 consecutive days every 20.30 WIB. The results showed that the level of insomnia was reduced to 21. Based on these results, it can be concluded that there was a decrease in the level of insomnia after being given a foot soak in warm water.
