- Hypertension generally occurs without symptoms, most people do not feel anything even though their blood pressure is far above normal, so hypertension is also often called a silent killer or silent killer. Hypertension can be controlled by pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapy. One of the treatment of hypertension with nonpharmacological therapy is Soak Feet Using Warm Water. This study aims to find out the effectiveness of Soaking Feet Using Warm Water in the elderly with hypertension. This research method uses qualitative descriptive research with a case study strategy, using 1 participation, namely Mrs. I who has hypertension. Researchers conducted foot-soaking therapy using warm water at a temperature of 38C once a day for 3 consecutive days for 25 minutes. The results obtained after therapy there was a decrease in blood pressure from 150/100 mmHg to 130/90 mmHg. From the explanation above can be concluded there is a significant influence of the administration of therapy Soak Feet Using Warm Water to decrease blood pressure. Researchers suggest that footsoaking therapy using warm water can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy for the elderly with Hypertension.
