This study aims to identify the potential of mangoes as a leading commodity in Ciemas District in terms of land area, production, productivity, processing, marketing, the contribution of mango production in Ciemas District at the Sukabumi Regency level, and excellence. The method used in this research is a survey method with a total of 50 respondents and uses simple random techniques as well as descriptive data analysis and the method of Hayami (1987). The results showed that the potential of mango as a superior commodity in the District, seen from the area of production land and productivity, cannot be said to be superior because the production and productivity are still below ideal productivity, while mango processing has been carried out but not yet varied, only mango chips and dodol. For marketing, farmers sell directly to middlemen, and processors sell by entrusting the processed products to tourist stalls and PAPSI. The contribution of mango production in Ciemas District in 2018 at the Regency level was 27.6%. For excellence, it can be seen directly from the 8 superior criteria based on the results of the analysis of the added value of mangoes where in Ciemas District there are 1 out of 8 superior criteria, namely the specified commodity can make a significant contribution to increasing production, income and expenditure.
