  • VINI MAYASHI. 2021. Determination of Red Ginger as Superior Commodity at Nagrak sub-district. Under the guidance of RENY SUKMAWANI and EMA HILMA MEILANI. The research was conducted in Nagrak District, Sukabumi Regency because the cultivation and processing of red ginger are in the same area, making it easier for researchers to carry out research. Determination of Nagrak red ginger as a superior commodity using the description scoring method with purposive sampling technique. Respondents were divided into three groups, namely, the farmer group, the business actor group and the bureaucrat (government) group. The total score from the respondents' assessment of the eight superior criteria determines whether red ginger is superior or not in Nagrak District. The results of the analysis showed that the red ginger in Nagrak District was in the medium category based on the excellence criteria with a score of 66.31. In order for their superiority to increase, it is recommended that red ginger farmers make partnerships with other regions in providing production inputs (red ginger seeds), and farmers who usually sell raw red ginger are expected to start selling processed red ginger products, so that they will not be affected by high imports of these products.
