- Participation husband in selection contraception method and health contraception are still low, there is only 1,1% at now. The selection of contraception is considered woman responsibility. It causes a low level for support husband with selection contraception method. The judgment of selection contraception method at every couple are rational, effective and effisien. The result of interview with post childbirth mothers at Sakinah ward said that they were ungething support of motivation from their husband choosed contraception device, so they were still confused about contraception selection. The aim of this research is knowing the correlation between support husband with selection contraception method of post child birtd in PKU Muhammadiyah hospital Yogyakarta 2008. This research is nonexperiment with descriptive correlation method and cross sectional approach. It had 34 respondents of post child birth mothers. The way of collection data used closed questionnaire. This research used kendals tau analysis. The time for this research was Maret-April 2008. The research outcome is any correlation between support husband with selection contraception method of post child birt, there is p=0.034 (p<0,05). The suggestion for husbands are increasing support and motivation for wives about selection contraception method of post child birth.
