- Background : Depression disorder is most found much in the middle of age, that is at the age of 40-50 whose worse condition on old age. Arround 14% of the old age who get depression, there is an indication to do a suicide. Purpose of the research : The purpose of the research is to know some factors, related to depression event on the old age who live in PSTW Unit Budi Luhur Yogyakarta on the year 2008. Research Methodology : This research is non experiment research with cross sectional time approach. The collecting data was carried with the number of sample are 30 respondens. Data collecting was got by questionairre. Validity test for free variable used product moment with high score is 0,047 and reliability test used a formula K-R20 with the high score is 0,004. Research Finding : Some respondens 70-79 old (43,33%), mayority sex is woman (63,33%), widower (50%), long stay in PSTW 0-5 years (66,66%). Depression insidency, easy depression 50%, medium-heavy (13,33%), undepression (36,67%). Significance of dissapoinment faktors is (0,041), the lack of body image is (0,015), unfair correlation is (0,151) ; opposite of two feeling (0,283), disease is (0,389) ; regret is (0,047) ; unachievement purposes is (0,506) ; lack of family support is (0,027). The high score of B is on the lack of familiy support that is (2,159), in multivariate analysis the score was 80%. Conclussion : There is no relationship between oppsite factor of two feeling, unfair correlation, disease, unachievement purposes with depression event, while the factors which has relationship with the depression event of the old age is dissapoinment, the lack of body image, regret, and the lack of familiy support. All of the factor researched giving big prosentase with depression incident to old age in PSTW are 80%. The most dominant factor which has relationship with the depression event is the factor of the lack of family support. Suggestion : Nurse is supposed to do approach to the family for giving advice about an importance of family support with telephone to the old age in the effort to reduce the depression event on the old age.
