- Background: job satisfaction is one’s attitude to their job that representing difference between one thing received and award that should be received based on their own estimation. Working load is average frequency of each kind of job in given time. Un-heavy working load has impact indirectly on self actualization satisfactio. Job satisfaction is assessment of employee that assessed from the extent of thorough job meeting the need. Objective: to indicate relationship between working load and nurse’s job satisfaction in in-patient room Method: method of the study used descriptive quantitative with correlational approach. Research design of the study was cross sectional that representing individual in population for particular moment. Gathering sample was total sampling design. Number of respondents were 41 people. Collecting data used questionnaire and observation. Conclusion: there was significant relationship between nurse’s working load and job satisfaction. Result test of Kendall’s tau was 0.425 while it had p=0.007 <0.05 in significance level 5%. Suggestion for General Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah of Bantul was to pay attention on employee’s welfare by understanding factors that influencing both working load and job satisfaction
