- In this day and age, technology and people are inextricably linked in various fields, one of which is in the field of education. However, the use of this technology is also a problem when it is not used in combination with the teacher's pedagogical ability in its use, a good collaboration is needed between the use of technology and the teacher's pedagogical. This problem clearly shows that the current use of technology for education does not seem to help students learn English better, and therefore the use of technology that is balanced with a new pedagogical approach needs to be applied. This study critically collects data on how the website as one of the learning resources from technology can help the learning process for teachers and students. This research is research and development (R & D) design using interview and questionnaire to collect the data. The respondents of this research for interview is 1 English teacher and questionnaire are 25 students of X Grade. The results shows there are 5 major characteristics of website media that suitable with teacher and student's needs, there are featured content including the use of pictures, the use of audio, and the use of video; site design including interesting design and easy to access; the purpose including create a good image for the organization, facilitate student work, and improve student learning outcomes; informative including complete information, and provide information quickly; and communicative. Thus, This study is expected to inspire more technology-based English language teaching in the future.
