- This research conducted to analyse the needs of digital literacy competence in pre�service English teachers in the 21st century. Digital competences are becoming increasingly important and essential to work both personally and professionally. The ability to analyse is one of the skills included in digital literacy. Information literacy is a term used to describe the ability to critically evaluate information. These purposes are: 1) To find out how do ELT pre-service teacher perceive digital literacy competence. 2) To find out what are needed for ELT pre-service teacher to have digital literacy competence in the 21st century. The method of this research is descriptive qualitative research, and the step of this research was conducting need analysis of digital competence in preservice English teachers. The data for analysis was collected form the researcher use interview. The finding of the research is there are twelve needs in order to develop digital literacy competence of pre-service English teachers.
