  • The Effect of Using Numerical Weighing Tool on Understanding the Concept of Multiplication in Class II SDI Al Azhar 15 Pamulang.Thesis, Teacher Education Skills Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (PGMI), Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training (FITK), SyarifHidayatullah State Islamic University Jakarta, 2018. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of numerical weighing tool on understanding the concept of multiplication of students in class II Islamic El Al Azhar 15 Pamulang. The numerical weighing tool is a semi-concrete tool or a function engine on mathematics used to perform the task of counting operations. The method used in this research is quasi experimental method with The Nonequivalent Posttest-Only Control Group Design research design. The sample in this study consisted of the experiment class which amounted to 26 students and control class which amounted to 26 students. The instrument used in this research is a comprehension concept test in the form of description. The results showed that the average score of students taught by using the numerical weighing tool is higher than the students taught without using the numerical weighing tool that is with the value of 93.00> 85.92. The data analysis of the two classes was calculated using statistical analysis test on the final test (posttest). Based on the results of data analysis, there are significant differences between the two classes are seen from the test results Mann-Whitney U test hypothesis on the data posttest (0.001 <0.05). In addition, based on the results of the calculation effect test (effect size) that has been done using Cohen's formula d got the effect size value of 0.819. The value of the influence test obtained interprets that the numerical weighing tool has an influence in the high category.Thus, this shows that there is a better influence from the use of numerical weighing tools to understanding the concept of student multiplication compared with learning without using props (jarimatika) in class II SDI Al Azhar 15 Pamulang.
