- Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan imbuhan yang digunakan dalam karangan deskripsi siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Objek penelitian berupa penggunaan imbuhan pada teks karangan deskripsi siswa. Metode pengumpulan data melalu teknik dokumenter dan observasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan proses morfologis pembentukan afiksasi. Hasil penelitian ini terkait dengan bentuk penggunaan imbuhan dengan proses morfologis ditemukan 143 penggunaan imbuhan baik berupa awalan, akhiran, imbuhan gabung, dan sisipan. Simpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu penggunaan imbuhan me- yang banyak digunakan siswa SMK Citra Bangsa Bogor dan penggunaan awalan per-, se-, ke-, tidak ditemukan dalam karangan deskripsi siswa, serta akhiran –i, akhiran –kan, dan sisipan –el-, -er-, -em- tidak ditemukan di dalam karangan deskripsi siswa SMK Citra Bangsa. Kata Kunci: Penggunaan imbuhan dan teks deskripsi siswa SMK Citra Bangsa. This study aims to describe the forms of affixes used in the description written by students. This study is a qualitative research. The object of research is the use and level of students' understanding of the descriptive text of the students. Methods of data collection use documentation and observation techniques. Data analysis techniques use the morphologicl al processes of affixation. The results of this research related to the morphological processes show that threre are 143 affixes; prefixes, suffixes, combination of affixes, and infixes. The conclusion of this study is the use of prefix me- that is widely used by students of SMK Citra Bangsa and the use of prefix per-, se-, ke-, not found in student description essay, and suffixes –i, suffixes –kan, and infixes is not found in essay description of student SMK Citra Bangsa.
