  • Efficiency is a theoretically parameter that can be used as base of all performance in a bank. Many banking efficiency studies have focused on conventional banks. Recently, Islamic banks have opened in many countries and operated in similiar fashion to traditional banks. This study evaluate the performance of the efficiency of islamic banking in indonesia during period 2010- 2012 (in this study i use monthly) using Data Envelopment Analysis, in which the first step is to measure the performance of the technical efficiency of banks using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) with the intermediation approach. Based on the measurement of efficiency using DEA method showed that the Islamic Bank during the 2010-2012 period is still not efficient. The efficiency score for the most efficient bank is 100%. The data which is used in this research is a secondary data, collected from financial statements issued by Bank Indonesia. The sampling technique that is used in this research is purposive sampling with taking 3 samples of islamic banks. Input variables used in this study are fixed assets, equity and net income, while the output variable is the financing and operational income.
