- Loan disbursement and collection of funds is making a bank to be strong to make economy of a country stronger. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Return on Assets (ROA), operating expenses to operating income (ROA), inflation, and the exchange rate against the loan to deposit ratio (LDR) of conventional banks in Indonesia. The sample used in this study using conventional commercial banks in Indonesia. Data obtained on the basis of monthly data contained in the Indonesian banking statistics from 2007 to 2011. The method used to analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables is multiple regression using SPSS 20. The results showed that the CAR and ROA significant effect on LDR, while ROA, inflation and exchange rates had no significant effect on LDR. Adjusted R Square value of 0.870 indicates that LDR can be explained by the independent variables of the study was 85.8 percent, while the remaining 13.2 percent is explained by variables of third party funds and others.
