Daftar Isi:
- Noise induced hearing loss (NIHL) is irreversible sensorineural hearing loss, affect one or two ears because of exposure to excessive levels of noise in environment. Prevalence of NIHL not only occur in industrial worker but also in musician. This study was aimed to elucidate the association between duration of noise exposure with noise induced hearing loss in musician. This was a cross-sectional study with consecutive sampling using musician as a sample. Forty seven musicians fulfilled inclusion criterias. Ear examination with otoskop, hearing examination with pure tone audiometry and noise intensity measure by sound level meter. Data will be described on table, tested with chi-square. For prevalence ratio. The prevalence NIHL on musician was 10.6%. Fisher test between duration of noise exposure with noise induced hearing loss p=0.051; RR=8.923; CI95%=0.906-87.840. We found a tendency of NIHL in musicians working in noisy environment for >5 yrsKeyword: noise-induced hearing loss, musician, duration of noise exposure
