Kerajinan Rakyat merupakan keterampilan manusia dalam mengolah bahan untuk menghasilkan suatu benda pakai atau benda estetis. Proses dan pengerjaan kerajinan yang tradisional, bahkan yang berkembang dengan proses mesin atau fabrikasi tidak lepas dari awal mula munculnya kerajinan yang dilakukan secara turun temurun. Untuk mewadahi proses dan pengembangan kerajinan rakyat serta menjadi ruang bersama bagi para pengrajin, sentral ini dirancang agar dapat mengapresiasi keanekaragaman ketrampilan kerajinan. Rancangan sentral wisata dengan tujuan menggugah masyarakat akan peran kerajinan yang juga menjadi sarana berkembangnya sejarah dari zaman dahulu yaitu dengan menggunakan tema Historicism. Tema Historicism dengan mengambil pembabakan cerita sejarah Singosari menjadi landasan lokasi tapak yang berada di area wisata sejarah di Singosari sehingga dapat mengapresiasi kerajinan dan memunculkan kembali cuplikan sejarah yang ditampilkan pada objek rancangan.

ENGLISH:

Handicraft is a human skill in processing the material to produce a usable object or objects of aesthetic. Traditional processes and workmanship craft even a well-developed engines of fabrication process cannot be separated from the beginning of the craft is created. To facilitate the process and development of handicraft as well as a common room for craftsmen, central is designed to be able to appreciate the diversity of craft skills. The central design for tourism with the aim of motivating the people will be the role of the craft which is also developing the history of ancient times by using the theme of Historicism.
