  • INTRODUCTION This book is intended for medical students and health sciences in which it contains health and medical knowledge. Health and medical knowledge in this book are conveyed generally from the side of history, definition, and development. The submission was also undetached from the influence of the Islamic elements that were inserted in each chapter. The author gives an overview of the relation of Islam to medicine and health sciences. The final pages in each chapter are about reading Skills for advanced readers who are also simulated by some exercises that build a more critical level of understanding. Components The complete program includes the following components: • Student Book • Quizzes and Answer keys General approach to reading instruction The following principles have guided our approach throughout the development of: • The reader becomes more critical of the arguments that the author has expressed. This stage gives the reader how to respond to the arguments built by the author. Some critical form to accomplish the comprehension is to identify the argument, specifying how convinces the argument is and builds a personal argument after knowing the author's arguments. • Build a strong comprehension of the reader through critical questions. This stage encourages the reader to cultivate a sense of curiosity toward the text he has read. The way to make critical questions is around: a). Why do the readers read the text? b). What does the author try to do in writing the text? c). What does the author say that is relevant to what the reader wants to find out in the text? d). How convincing is what the author says? E). What thing the readers can do after reading the text as a conclusion?
