PT. Astra agro Lestari Tbk has a huge palm oil plantation that spread in several locations which is far away each other. They are distributing at Indonesian main island such as Sumatra, Kalimantan, and Sulawesi. To manage the plantations, PT. Astra Agro Lestari needs an information system, which is spatially referenced. The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the operational plantation information according to users needs, and to develop prototype of spatial information system. In prototyping development, current information system was integrated with developed spatial information system. A modified method of Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and prototyping development were used to develop spatial information system. The output of developed information system are some information products that consist of basic plantation information, daily harvesting, fertilizing, plant disease, and plantation infrastructure information such as buildings, roads network, and bridges. The data were collected from related divisions of PT. Astra Agro Lestari that is compiled into both spatial and attribute databases. Spatial information system has an impact on the efficiency of processing time and cost, making problem solving easier, increasing information qualify, and another benefit for the users.
