- Job Satisfaction Level Evaluation of Agricultural Extension Officers at Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura in Lahat Regency, South Sumatera Ahmad Firdaus The purposes of this research were to evaluate, to knowed, and to have general description about job satisfaction of Pertanian Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura in Lahat Regency, South Sumatera Province. Job satisfaction factors researched were income, professionalism, authority, organizational policy, job requirements, and interaction. The data were collected by interviewing and giving a questionnaire using Likerts scale to 38 peoples of PPL. The validity, the reliability, the perasons correlation, the frequency, and the cross tabulation of the data were analyzed by using SPSS/PC programme. The research showed that the data were valid and reliable with value more than 0.3. The research also showed that the Gap between realitations and respondents hopes was 27.2% service quality given by Dinas Pertanian Tanaman Pangan dan Hortikultura. Mann-Whitney test showed that the expectancy and the reality of respondents job satisfaction was different significantly. Respondents put income as the most important job satisfaction factor followed by authority, organization policy, job requirements, and interaction.
