- The aim of this research is to build Web-based Livestock information system in supporting the program of Livestock information Center including data collection, processing and serving the data; to establish the prototype of Web based Livestock Information Center; and as a web design recommendation that could be used in developing the Web-based Livestock Information Center in the Livestock Data and information sub division of Directorate General Livestock Services (DGLS). This research implements descriptive and qualitative methods by collecting the data and information of recent Livestock information system and collecting the primary data by interviewing correspondence to get information on the data needed for the planned Web-based Livestock information system. The system developed using combination between two methods, prototyping and web engineering. Combination between both methods divided into two main phase which is system identification and analysis, and engineering and prototype development. The result of this research shows that there is a necessitate of web-based information system that gives unproblematic in livestock data and information tracing for public user, user in the provinces or the administrator of data and information sub division in data input and serving. The main background of establishing the PUSINFONAK (Livestock information Center,) as web-based application system is to provide system that able to give livestock information and interaction with no time and space limit also as a tool in data input for all user. Such application system is a necessitate for easiness in collecting livestock data and information, provide fast, accurate and qualified livestock data and information for supporting the management and user in decision making of livestock development strategy.
