  • This research discussed about the correlation between the level of extra version and writing competence at the fifth semester students of English and Literature Department ofUIN Alauddin Makassar which aimed to figure out whether the level of extraversion had correlation with writing competence or not. This research applied quantitative method in revealing the data. The researcher based on Eysenck's theory about Personality Inventory Questionnaire (EPI) as the instrument in order to get the valid data. The findings showed that 47 students got excellent score and 18 students got good score in their Writing m course. The researcher also found that 18 students were classified as extreme extrovert, 39 students as fairly introvert, 3 students as balance, 3 students as fairly introvert, and 2 students as extreme introvert. The coefficient of correlation between the two variables were 0.22. The researcher concluded that there was no significant correlation between the extraversion level and writing competence of the fifth semester students of English and Literature in UIN Alauddin Makassar.
