- This study aims to determine the influence of parenting patterns on student academic achievement at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training UIN Alauddin Makassar. The research instrument used was the parenting style scale, and the student's achievement index scores. The sample of the research was 109 respondents which consisted of 85 female students and 24 male students. This research was quantitative. The data analysis used was regression analysis through SPSS program for Windows 21. The result showed that the coefficient of significance of the p-value was 0.325 where p>0.050. This means that there was no influence of parenting styles toward the student academic achievement at the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teacher Training of UIN Alauddin Makassar
