- The finding showed that there were 55 errors in writing; they were: six errors in omission of noun inflection, seven errors in missions of verb inflection, twelve errors in omissions of auxiliary, there errors in omission of article, there errors in omission of preposition, one error in addition, one error regulatization in miss-formation, fifteen errors archi-form in misformation. There errors alternating form in misformation, and three errors in misordering. Meanwhile the researcher found seven causes of errors. They were: inteference of mother tongue, over generalization, ignorance of rule restriction, incomplete application of rules and false concept hypothesis, some of students believe that the sentences they wrote were surely correct and students lack of practice and limited vocabulary. The researcher concluded that the fifth semester student still made errors in their essay especially about the error of omission and the most causes or errors was false concept hypothesis.
