- The instrument used in this research was test. The test was used in the pre-test and post-test. The data indicated that there were a significant difference between the students’ post-test in the experimental class and post-test in the control class. The mean score of the post t est (77) in the experimental class was higher than the mean score on the post -t est (65) in control class. The standard deviation on the post-test (10,43) in the experimental class and the standard deviation of the post-test in control class (11,12). From t he t-test, the researcher found that t he value of the t-test (3.51) was higher than t he t-table (2.042) at t he level of significant 0.05 with degree of freedom (df) = 38. Based on the finding and discussion of the research, the researcher concluded t hat using Fishbowl Strategy was effective t o improve students’ speaking skill.
