  • The research finding indicated that the use of Contextual Guessing Technique improved the students’ ability in Reading Comprehension at SMA Negeri 1 Galesong Selatan. The t-test result of Pre-test was 1.75 and 3.70 in Posttest. The Post-test result was greater than t-table (3.70>2.00). Based on the result of this research, it can be conclude that the type Contextual Guessing Technique has possitive effect in teaching Reading Comprehension at the second grade students of SMA Negeri 1 Galesong Selatan
