- The result of this research before doing cycle, the researcher did pre-test was to know the students’ ability in simple past tense and mean score in pre-test was 54.58. First cycle showed the students’ achievement and performance was low. It could be seen from the students’ mean score in the first cycle was 65.42. The students’ mean score in the second cycle was 92.08. The students’ mean score in the third cycle was 94.58. Then, the result of the research in the second cycle showed that the students’ achievement and performance have improved. Finally, the result of this research showed that students’ understanding improved in each cycle after they were taught using song. It was signed by their improvement of each result test.
