- This research discussed about the ethnocentrism analysis which tried to describe the ethnocentrism that rises in "The Hundred-Foot Journey" movie. This research aimed to know ethnocentrisms characteristics and consequences in that movie which focused on Sumner's and Gudykuats's Theory. Then, the data were analyzed using descriptive qualitative method. The researcher used note taking as the instrument to find out the valid data. The findings showed that showed that the character of Mr. Kadam, Madam Mallory and Jean Pierre in movie "The Hundred-Foot Journey" had all Characteristics of ethnocentrism in themselves. The consequences of ethnocentrism in this movie were also shown by Mr. Kadam, Madam Mallory and Jean Pierre. The consequences were misunderstanding, negative reaction, justify mistreatment to out groups, exaggerate groups differences, see a good values only in own group, complicate intercultural issue and rejection of richness and knowledge of out groups, but hinders understanding to out groups and keeps understanding to in groups were not found in that movie. The writer concluded that the ethnocentrism told about French and Indian were lived as a neighbor that became rival.
