  • In brief, it could be concluded that students prefer referential question because it was more challenging than display question, not only help students to improve their English but also could express their mind, ideas and opinion. For two kind of feedback, when the students had provided the expected answer, they still preferred to be praised rather than summarized. With praised, they would be confident to respond some questions in the future. However, when they made incorrect or no answer, students preferred teacher give them encouragement. Since encouragement could develop the students’ confidence and motivated the unconfident students.
