- The result of the research showed that the students’ speaking ability had poor score in pre-test. After treatment, their speaking ability was significantly increased. It could be seen from their score that changed to become good. The mean score of post-test (4.06) was higher than the mean score of pre-test (3.17). Then, the null hypotesis (H0) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (HI) was accepted because the data analyzed by using t-test showed that the value of t-test was higher than t-table (10.34>2.640) at the level of significance 0.05 with the degree of freedom (df) = 24. Based on the result of the data analysis, it could be concluded that Telephone Conversation Method is effective in improving the students’ speaking ability.
