  • The purpose of this study was to obtain the empirical evidence of whether using peer feedback on Facebook group is effective on students? writing recount text. The method used in this study was quasi-experimental research. The study carried out in two classes of research, experimental and controlled class. The subject of this study was the tenth grade students of SMA MawaddahDepok, and the samples of this research were XA as the experimental class and XB as the controlled class. The instrument used to obtain the data in this study was writing test of recount text. The test were divided into two, there were pre-test and post-test. The data obtained from the both instrument were calculated and analyzed by using t-test.The result of this study showed that the use of peer-feedback on facebook group was effective. It could be seen from the result of calculation that the students? score in experimental class was higher than the students? score in controlled class. The mean score of post-test in experimental class was 78.64. Meanwhile, the mean score of post-test in controlled class was 59.4 Furthermore, based on the statistical calculation with the significance level of 5% and 1%, it showed that t-observation is higher than t-table that was 2.18 > 1.67. Furthermore, the Cohen?s formula was also used in order to know the effect size of using peer feedback on facebook group on students? writing recount text. The result of the calculation was 0.63 which can be concluded that the using of peer feedback on facebook group has moderate effect on students? writing recount text.
