- students� errors and knowing the reasons why the students of SMA Almanar Azhari Islamic Boarding School made errors in using relative pronoun. The method used in this study was descriptive analysis. The data of the research were the students� error in using relative pronoun. The data were taken from test and interview. The data from test were used to find the percentages of the students� errors. The data from interview were used to know the reason why students of SMA Almanar Azhari Islamic Boarding School made errors in using relative pronoun. After conducting the research, the writer found several findings: errors of who with percentage 19.46 %, errors of whom with percentage 28.85 %, errors of whose with percentage 34.89 %, and errors of which with percentage 16.77 %. It can be concluded that the most errors made by students of SMA Almanar Azhari Islamic Boarding School is in using whose. The reason why the students made errors in using relative pronoun are overgeneralization with percentage 30 % and context of teaching with percentage 70 %.
