  • The objective of this study is to find out the empirical data concerning whether Pictures series as media in writing narrative text is effective towards students? writing skill in narrative text. The method used in this study was quantitative method. The design of this study was quasi ? experimental design. The writer used quasi ? experimental design of this study to see the effectiveness of pictures series towards students? writing skill in narrative text. The result showed that the picture series as media in writing narrative text is effective towards students? writing skill in narrative text. The result of calculation showed that in the significance degree of 5%, the value of t-test (to) > t-table (tt) (5.514 > 1.992). According to the criteria of the test, the result showed that there is a significant difference between students? writing skill in narrative text by using Pictures series as media and without Pictures series. It means that, the Pictures series is effective and applicable at the eleventh grade of SMA N 4 Depok towards students? writing skill in narrative text
