  • This research is purposed to find out the correlation between students� anxiety and their achievement in Reading Comprehension at the first semester of academic year 2010 at SMP PGRI I Ciputat. This research is using quantitative descriptive, the technique of collecting data are questionnaire and Reading Comprehension test to the 40 students. The finding of the research states that there is no significance correlation between students� anxiety and their achievement in Reading Comprehension. It means that either low or high the score of students� anxiety does not effect on students� achievement in Reading Comprehension. The writer also gives suggestion to the students to practice their reading skill so their self- confidence can be increased in order to avoid anxiety, to use anxiety as the motivator so they are driven to learn harder to get better achievement in Reading Comprehension.
