- The purpose of the research is to get the information about the influence of picture in teaching English vocabulary at fourth grade of SDI Al Jabr Pondok Labu. The subject of the research is 2 classesof fourth grade of SDI Al Jabr , Pondok Labu. This research is using experimental class method by using observation, interview, documentation and test. The finding of the study states that (1) the use of pictures in learning vocabulary helped the students easier in mastering vocabulary; it can be shown from the students test score which the result of statistic calculation indicates that the value of the t0 is 6.98. the degree of freedom (df) is 38 obtain from (N1+N2)-2 = (20+20)-2. In this paper, the writer uses the degree of significant of 5% and 1%. In the table of significance, it can be seen that on the df = 38 and on the degree of significance of 5% and 1%. The value of the degree of significance, the result is 2.03 2.72. It means that the effectiveness of using picture in teaching vocabulary in experiment class has significant difference from teaching without using picture in controlled class (2) The English teacher was not creative in teaching English vocabulary during teaching learning activities, it can be known from the interview.
