  • This increase and quality assurance of education is the responsibility of each component in the education unit. In accordance with applicable laws and regulations, each education unit must carry out quality assurance according to its authority. Quality improvement in education units cannot run well without a quality culture in all school components. The quality assurance of education in all schools in Indonesia is carried out with an approach involving all school components (whole school approach). Total quality management is carried out by continually improving all management functions. Total quality management (TQM) will be realized if all educational staff feel confident that quality development can bring a positive impact for them and students. The government has developed an system of education quality assurance becomes an internal quality assurance system (SPMI) and an external quality assurance system (SPME). SPMI is a system of quality assurance that it operates in educational units and is operated by all components in the education unit. SPMI covers all aspects of implementing education by utilizing all available resources to achieve the the National Education Standards (SNP). This system is evaluated and developed continuously by the education unit to be applied into the guidelines for the management of educational units and disseminated to all stakeholders (pemangku kepentingan) so it is created a quality culture in the education unit. The education quality assurance system in schools is divided into five stages, namely quality mapping, preparation of fulfillment plans, implementation of fulfillment, quality evaluation / audit, and new standard setting. SMK 2 Al Hikmah 1 Sirampog as a school that is fortunate to get trust as a model school, carries out a whole series of activities in accordance with the operational guidelines and guidelines from LPMP. School activities of the 2018 internal quality assurance system model at SMK 2 Al Hikmah 1 Sirampog have been implemented in accordance with the plans that have been implemented in accordance with the predetermined plan. The implementation of SPMI in SMK 2 Al Hikmah 1 Sirampog is seen by the existence of quality activities such as workshops for impact schools, the application of quality culture at schools, morning tadarus, boordingshool, and language days (Japanese).
