- Improving the quality of education is one of the main priorities in the implementation of education in Indonesia, as set forth in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 Year 2003 on National Education System (Sisdiknas). However, success in improving the quality of education is strongly influenced by several factors, including teacher performance factors. There are several factors that affect teacher performance, including principal leadership and principal academic supervision. Therefore, the purpose of this study are: (1) to prove the effectiveness of madrasah head leadership in improving teacher performance MAN Cilacap; (2) to prove the effectiveness of academic supervision of madrasah head in improving teacher performance in MAN Cilacap; and (3) to prove the effectiveness of leadership and academic supervision of madrasah heads together in improving teacher performance in MAN Cilacap. This study uses a quantitative approach with the type of research is correlational, because this study determines the level of relationships among variables that are in a population. The population in this study are teachers Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Cilacap which amounted to 54 people. The variables in this study are: (1) independent variables, namely leadership of madrasah head (X1), and academic supervision of madrasah head (X2); and (2) dependent variable, that is teacher performance (Y) with data collection technique is using questionnaire. The data analysis technique is using quantitative data analysis techniques. Based on the F test or the Significance value test (Sig.), Provided that, if the Sig Value. <0.05, then the regression model is linear, and vice versa. So the results of this study are as follows: (1) leadership of madrasah head effective in improving teacher performance in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Cilacap; (2) academic supervision of madrasah head effective in improving teacher performance in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Cilacap; And (3) leadership and academic supervision of madrasah heads together effectively in improving teacher performance in Madrasah Aliyah Negeri Cilacap.
