- This study aims to determine the effect of neem leaf extract (Azadiractha indica) to eradicate the broen planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens). This type of research is true experiment with Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method. Data analysis used one-way ANOVA test and further tested using probit LC50 analysis with 95% confidence level. The concentrtion of neem (Azadiractha indica) leaves was 10 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml and the positive control was Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane (DDT) with 3 repetitions. The parameter measured was the mortality rate of the brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens) for 24 hours. Based on the results of the study, it was shown that in 24 hours observation at concentrations of 10 ml, 30 ml, 50 ml, they werw 3%, 4,3%, 5% respectively. From the results of the ANOVA test, it was found that Fcount (32,000>4.83)>Ftable 0.05 andfurther test of Probit analysis on LC50 mortality of 4.83%. it can be concluded that neem leaf extract was able to kill brown planthoppers with the optimum concentration of 50 ml.
