- This study aims to examine the effect of transformational leadership on job performance through mediation of work engagement at PT X employees in East Java and Bali. The number of respondents in this study were 80 respondents. Respondents were selected by purposive sampling and convenience sampling. The method of data collection was carried out using primary data obtained through questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is Partial Least Square Structural Equation Modeling using the Smart PLS 3.0 program. The results of the study explain that transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on job performance, transformational leadership has a significant positive effect on work engagement and work engagement has a positive but not significant effect on job performance and work engagement mediates insignificantly the effect of transformational leadership on job performance at PT X employees. in East Java and Bali.
