- This study has proposed a conceptual framework to investigate the influence of parental socioeconomic status, financial education in the family and demographic characteristics on the level of students financial literacy. Financial literacy refers to the ability to read, analize, manage, and communicate about personal financial conditions that affect material well-being. Socio-economic status is a level owned by a person based on the ability to meet the needs of daily life, includes parental education level, parental occupation, and parental income. Demographic characteristics are characteristics that describe differences in society based on age and gender.
