  • CAR is the capital adequacy ratio to overcome the possibility of financial risk, measuring the ability of a bank through its capital and assets. Capital for bank funds invested by the owner in the context of establishing a business entity intended to finance the bank's business activities. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the independent variables LDR, IPR, APB, NPL, IRR, PDN, FBIR, BOPO, and ROA both simultaneously and partially had a significant effect on CAR and which variable was the most dominant influence on CAR. This study uses secondary data from published financial statements from the first quarter of 2015 to the fourth quarter of 2019 at the National Private Foreign Exchange Public Private Bank with a sample consisting of PT. Bank Victoria Internasional, Tbk; PT. Bank Bukopin, Tbk and PT. Bank Sinarmas, Tbk. Data were processed using SPSS version 26 with F test and t test. The results of this study reveal that LDR, IPR, APB, NPL, IRR, PDN, FBIR, BOPO, and ROA simultaneously have a significant effect on CAR. LDR and PDN partially have an insignificant negative effect on CAR. IPR, APB, FBIR, BOPO, and ROA have a partially insignificant positive effect on CAR. IPR partially has a significant positive and NPL partially has a significant negative effect on CAR. The most dominant variable is NPL with a contribution of 16.00 percent.
