  • Along with the development of globalization era and Asean Free Trade Area (AFTA), which directly causing companies competition become tight. Media companies feels the tight competition too especially in the digital era right now. Printing, electronic, and online media showing newest and detail information about a news to gain public interest. As a result, some people assumpt that this competition will kill printing media because online and electronics media are faster to inform the public. The application of Total Quality Management (TQM) is for making maximum competitiveness which can be gain by focus on customers, continuous product improvement, services, labor process and other things in its environment. This study empirically testing the influence of the application of Total Quality Management with an awards based on employee performance with as variable moderating. This research was held on PT. Jawa Pos Koran in DetEksi compartment, with the number of respondents are 58 employees. The data obtained from questionnaire which I spread to the employees. The instrument of this analysis which used to answer simple hypothesis is linear regression and residual test for variables moderating. The results of this research shows that there is a direct influence on the application of TQM employee performance and the award system is not for variables moderating on PT. Jawa Pos Koran.
