- Financial management behavior is an issue that is widely discussed at this time. This study aims to determine the effect of financial knowledge on financial management behavior mediated by money attitude and locus of control. The method used in this research is qualitative method. The sample in this study were 304 students studying in Surabaya. Characteristics of respondents are students who study in Surabaya and students who get a monthly allowance. Data analysis in this research use SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) with application of PLS (Partial Least Square). The results showed that financial knowledge has no significant positive effect on financial management behavior. In addition, money attitude and locus of control succeeded in mediating the influence of financial knowledge with financial management behavior with significant positive results.
