- Accountant in Indonesia is still left behind from another ASEAN countries such as Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines. One of the factors that support the establishment of great accountant who are able to compete in the AFTA’s era is a professional educator accoutant. Based on above explanation, there is one question lingers, has our educator accountant been professional?. Based on that question, this research was studied to give better explanation and to find out whether the perception of students in different universities and gender have different perception toward educator accountant’s profesionalism. This research was taking 100 samples and distributed 50 questionaire in each universities. This research used independent sample t-test as analytical method. The results showed that there is no difference between the perception of accounting students ini STIE Perbanas Surabaya and Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo. This research also found that there is a difference in perception between male and female students, this is due to differences in characters that belong to each gender.
