- This study examines the effect of financial education in family and peer group on predicting financial management behavior among college students. The sample comprised 396 students in fourteen universities across Gerbangkertasusila, which were randomly selected for the study. A self-administered questionnaire was used as the data collection method. The data obtained was analysed using SEM-PLS . The results indicate that (1) financial education in family has positive and significant effect on undergraduate students financial management behavior and (2) peer group has positive and significant effect on undergraduate students financial management behavior. Adjusted R Square value is in the mount of 0.10 which means that 10% of students personal financial management is influenced by financial education in family and peer group simultaneously.
