PERSEPSI DAN KECENDERUNGAN TERHADAP RISIKO INVESTASI BERBASIS FAKTOR DEMOGRAFI

- The purpose of this study is to determine the differences of risk perception and risk propensity based on investors’ demography that include by age, job, gender, marital status, education, and income per month. The population in this study is the investors in Surabaya who invested their funds in stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. Samples of this study are seventeen years old or more investors of capital market with six months or more experiences of investment. A questionnaire survey was conducted and responses were obtained from 104 investors from all over Surabaya. The data was analyzed using three statistical techniques, namely ANOVA, Independent Sample t-test and Pearson Correlation. The result of this study found that has no differences of risk perception based on demography factors. But, it found the differences of risk propensity based on jobs and income per month. This study also proves that there’s no correlations between risk perception and risk propensity. Key Word : Risk Perception, Risk Propensity, Demography Factors.
