  • This study aims to improve students' English vocabulary using monopoly game. The research was conducted based on the main problem: how is the application of Monopoly game in students' English vocabulary learning? and how is the effect of using Monopoly game to increase students' English vocabulary? This study uses quantitative methods. The sample used was 21 VIII-A students as the experimental class and 21 VIII-B students as the control class. The instruments used in this study were tests and observations. The data analysis of this research used t-test. The results of this study indicate the effect of using monopoly game on increasing students' English vocabulary. The effect of treatment seen from the posttest results of the experimental and control classes an average of 66.66 > 76.95 and the effect of this treatment is 22%, which means that the use of monopoly games can increase students' English vocabulary.
