Adviser: Dr. H. Abdul Muin Bahaf, S.Ag., M.M. and Ila Amalia, M.pd. This research analyze the speech acts used by the main character in A Turtle Tale Sammy‟s Adventures Movie Script. This research is conducted based on the aim of this research: To describe the types of illocutionary act which are produced by the main character in A Turtle Tale Sammy‟s Adventures Movie Script, the writer used descriptive qualitative methode to describe the utterance that produced by the main character in A Turtle Tale Sammy‟s Adventures Movie Script. The subject in this research is the main character„s utterance. The technique to collect the data is documentations. Based on the result of the research, the researcher conclude that the types of speech acts used by the main character in A Turtle Tale Sammy‟s Adventures Movie Script is illocutionary speech act which consist of : Representatives, Directives, Commissives, and expressives. The researcher found 218 utterance that had produced by the main character in movie script. In representatives there are 117 utterances representing 81.192%. In directives there are 82 utterances representing 37.614%. In commisives there are 2 utterance representing 0.917%. In expressives there are 17 utterances representing 7.798.
