  • This research investigated the students’ using think-aloud protocols toward students’ reading on narrative text. This research is conducted based on the main problem 1) How is the students in reading narrative text after being taught using Think-aloud protocols? 2) How is the application of think-aloud protocols in student reading narrative text? To conduct the research, the write used is descriptive qualitative as a case study. The participant of this research is the students of MA Daarul Falah Ciloang Serang-Banten. The sample of this study is 3 students taken from Second Grade of MA Daarul Falah Ciloang Serang-Banten. The writer collected data by using interview and test. The result of this research states that after being taught using think-aloud protocols the students comprehend on narrative text at the second grade of MA Daarul Falah from the test and the results of summarize students that by using think-aloud methods students can understand the text well. Students’ reading through think-aloud protocols can enhance the student comprehend in reading narrative text. This method usually held to brainstorm students’ knowledge which is connected with the text. Think-aloud protocols has function as the media before the main reading process happened to help students comprehend the text easily.
